Intellectual Property: If the Business Plan based on the case study relies substantially on any copyright or other rights, any rights conferred by statute, common law or equity in or in relation to inventions (including patents), registered or unregistered trade marks, registered or unregistered designs, circuit layouts or confidential information or any other rights resulting from intellectual activity in the industrial, scientific, literary or artistic fields (Intellectual Property), it may not be necessary for the purposes of EABS to specify all of the technical details of that Intellectual Property. The Business Plan is intended to outline a business idea and the prospective market and financing and marketing details. Participants should not include technical details to a level which might affect their capacity to protect and, at some future point, exploit their Intellectual Property through registered rights. Participants should also ensure they understand their rights in relation to Intellectual Property and the protection of those rights.
3. The submission must comply with the requirements as set out in the Guidelines of Business Summary.
4. Correspondence: Any correspondence from EABS to you will be directed by email and letter to your email address and/or postal address as provided by you.
5. Originality: If an idea has been already expressed and is registered/ patented under the applicable laws by, or is the property of, a third party, the originator of the idea must agree in writing to the use of the idea by the applicant and must be expressly credited in the Business Plan.
11. All participants that pass through the 1st round will be sent Case studies. All participants selected after the Case Study round are invited to present their Case studies.
13. The decisions of the Jury Members will be final. No communication will be entered into with any person in relation to any decision of the Jury Members and process.
14. No liability: EABS, Jury Members, Partners, Sponsors or any employee or agent of the Sponsors will NOT be liable for:
(a) any costs incurred or loss or liability suffered by the participants in relation to Unleash (b) any lost expectation of profits by participant (c) any failure by participant to understand their rights in relation to Intellectual Property, or the rights of EABS, the Sponsors or any third party in relation to Intellectual Property; or(d) any other benefit entrepreneur may expect to gain by participating in Unleash the CEO.
15. Confidentiality (a) Members of the Jury will be appointed on the basis that they are prohibited from disclosing or using any details of the participants Business Plan or any other information submitted in connection with Unleash the CEO, except in accordance with the terms of the Confidentiality Agreement, and in their capacity as member of Jury.
(b) Unleash the CEO cannot accept any responsibility for the performance by any Jury member, their obligations in respect of confidentiality. (c )Unleash the CEO or EABS will not sign any Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with participants.
16. Unleash the CEO may change the Terms and Conditions of participation at any time without specific notice. The amended Terms and Conditions of Entry will be effective immediately upon being posted on the Website. Important changes to the Terms and Conditions may be highlighted on the Website www.unleashtheceo.com for your convenience; however, you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to regularly visit the Website to read any changes to the Terms and Conditions of Entry. 17. "Unleash The CEO", EABS or any of the partners will not incur any costs for the students or entrepreneurs participating in the "Unleash the CEO" programme nor entertain any kind of claim.
18. Taxes: The applicant is solely responsible for any taxes, duties, charges or levies to be paid to any person in connection with any money (including any prizes) they pay or receive in connection with "Unleash the CEO".
19. Termination: "Unleash the CEO" may at any time and for any reason:
(a) disqualify a participant from "Unleash The CEO" if the evaluation panel, mentoring panel or Investors in their absolute discretion, determines that such disqualification is warranted; or (b) discontinue "Unleash The CEO" by posting a notice to that effect on the Website |
